Dear Underfire Organizers
authors, respondents, lurkers...

Officially this project ends on the 10th so perhaps this is simply a  
futile gesture.

I have no idea what the intentions of this project were nor whether  
any of the organizers or facilitators had any particular  
expectations. In the beginning, judging by the thoroughness and  
relevance of the early posts I thought some new ground was being  
broken here - sadly (with the exception of Bracha's and Rula  
Halawani's posted photographs and the issues that BOTH groups raise)  
I would say that the say the final series of postings were short on  
ATTENTION SPAN and LONG ON VERBIAGE. I say this not because I am put  
off by long postings but rather because things seemed to spin into  
some ethereal zone of discourse which had a wonderful self- 
congratulatory aspect but were a bit removed from some of the more  
concrete issues that were initially raised... (and raised again)

Hence, some form of evaluation or reflection might be useful here.
