Affect. Space. Can we talk about, say, prison? Can we talk about household
labor? That is to say, women? Women, globally and, everywhere,
nationally, the fastest growing prison population. Women, who, as
transnational domestic workers, leave home, `home', for an average of 11 or
so years, which means the same as women combatants in, say, Nepal. How do we
talk about Gabriel Tarde and not talk about his book, Penal Philosophy, and
its implications for space and place, and, equally, its radical irrelevance
for any nuanced gender analysis?
Thanks,
Dan
